Youssef Chahed begins two-day official visit to Sudan

Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, on Wednesday, started a two-day official visit to the Republic of Sudan.

On his arrival at Khartoum International Airport, the Prime Minister was seen in by Sudan's First Vice-President and Prime Minister, Bakri Hassan Salah and many Sudanese ministers.

This visit, meant to strengthen the co-operation relations between the two countries, will see the holding of the 7th session of the Tunisian-Sudanese High Joint Commission.

This session, stopped for 10 years, should lead to the signing of a series of co-operation agreements in the fields of vocational training, health, culture, trade and agriculture.

During this visit, Youssef Chahed will attend the opening of the Tunisian-Sudanese business forum.

This Forum will be crowned by the signing of a co-operation agreement on vitalising and updating the Tunisian and Sudanese businessmen Council.

Youssef Chahed will hold meetings with Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir, Sudan's First Vice-President and Prime Minister Bakri Hassan Salah, Sudanese National Council President Ibrahim Ahmed Omar and Director-General of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, Sidi Ould Tah.

The Prime Minister will meet members of the Tunisian community in Khartoum.
