Youssef Chahed arrives in Niger for first leg of African tour

The President of the Government Youssef Chahed, on Monday afternoon, arrived in Niamey for an official visit to Niger from April 3 to 6, the first leg of an African tour that will also take him to Burkina Faso and Mali.

The President of the Government was welcomed on arrival at the international airport Diori Hamani by Niger’s Prime Minister Brigi Rafini.

Chahed will meet on this first visit with President of Niger Mahamadou Issoufou, Prime Minister Brigi Rafini and National Assembly Speaker Ousseini Tinni.

The President of the Government is accompanied by the Ministers of Development, Investment and International Co-operation, Industry and Trade, Vocational Training and Employment, and Health.

A large delegation of more than 80 Tunisian businessmen also accompanies the President of the Government in his African tour.

They will participate with their counterparts from Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali in business forums where economic and trade agreements and programmes would be signed.
