Chahed pays tribute to Habib Bourguiba's role in development of African Continent

The President of the Government Youssef Chahed said Thursday in Bamako, Mali, that leader Habib Bourguiba had played a key role in the African Continent's development.

On the commemoration of the 17th anniversary of former President Habib Bourguiba's death, Tunisia pays today a tribute to the architecture of modern Tunisia Leader Habib Bourguiba who had spared no effort to develop the African countries, Chahed said at the opening of the Mali-Tunisia Economic Forum.

He recalled on this occasion Tunisia’s contribution in the Bourguibian era, to the creation of the first bank in Mali and Niger.

Bamako is the last leg in Youssef Chahed’s African tour, April 3-6, during which he visited Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali, along with a delegation of ministers and a hundred of businessmen.
