Burkina Faso wants to build on Tunisia's experience and expertise in health, environment, energy, education and training, Premier Youssef Chahed Wednesday said in Ouagadougou.

"Tunisia will make its expertise available to help give a boost to development in this country," he told a press conference following a working session at the seat of the Burkinabe Foreign Ministry that saw the signing of a joint declaration.

Chahed said Africa is the "natural environment" of Tunisia whose traditional diplomacy is blossoming again in the African continent; Tunisia yet needs to develop economic diplomacy to conquer new markets.

Earlier, The President of the Government and his Burkinabe counterpart Paul Kaba Thieba inked a joint declaration for increased cooperation and a concrete partnership.

Burkina Faso's President Roch Marc Christian Kabore will pay next June a visit to Tunisia, Youssef Chahed announced. This will offer the opportunity to consider ways to step up economic cooperation.

The President of the Government said, in this vein, his meeting with the Burkinabe President focused on economic and social cooperation as well as regional and international issues of common interest, including the fight against extremism and terrorism and curbing illegal migration.

Chahed likewise met with President of the National Assembly of Burkina Faso Salif Diallo; means to foster friendship between the two countries and promote parliamentary diplomacy were discussed.
