HPR: Plenary session on 20 July devoted to dialogue with PG on anti-corruption strategy and situation nationwide

(TAP) – The plenary session of Thursday 20 July will be devoted to the dialogue with The President of the Government Youssef Chahed on the anti-corruption strategy and the situation in the country, a press statement issued by the press office of the House of People's Representatives (HPR).

The HPR Bureau met on Thursday to schedule the next 4 plenary sessions, which will take place from 15 July to 20 July 2017. The first meeting will be held on Saturday 15 July, the second Monday 16 July and Tuesday 17 July, the third on Wednesday 19 July and the fourth on Thursday 20 July.

Scheduled for Saturday, the first session will be devoted to the examination of the oral questions addressed to the Minister of Health. The second meeting, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, will be devoted to the consideration of Bill N ° 57/2017 approving the agreement and its annexes governing the "Douiret" hydrocarbon prospecting permit.

This session will also be devoted to the consideration of Bill N ° 56/2017 on the approval of the agreement and its annexes governing the Nefzaoua permit for the exploration of hydrocarbons.

The proposal to amend the Rules of Procedure of the HPR and finalise it will also be on the agenda of the second session in addition to the election of members of the access to Information Mechanism.

As regards the meeting on Wednesday 19 July, it will be devoted to the consideration of draft organic law N ° 38/2017 on the forum for good governance and the fight against corruption and the adoption of the draft motion for the re-establishment of diplomatic relations with Syria.

The meeting of Thursday 20 July will be devoted to the dialogue with Prime Minister Youssef Chahed on the anti-corruption strategy and the general situation of the country.

The HPR Bureau set on 24 July 2017 the holding of the Conference of Parliamentary Groups presidents and Members of the HPR Bureau.
