Chahed meets Egyptian Prime Minister in Cairo

(TAP Special Correspondent / Aida Hichri) - Prime Minister Youssef Chahed had a meeting on Sunday in Cairo with Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail.

Chahed emphasised the importance of the 16th session of the High Joint Commission for the evaluation of the bilateral cooperation process between Tunisia and Egypt and to identify ways to promote it and bring it to the level of an effective and fair partnership.

The Prime Minister expressed Tunisia's aspiration to further strengthen economic co-operation and trade with Egypt to meet the expectations of both countries, calling for the holding of the joint trade commission to identify obstacles to the development of trade.

Prime Minister Youssef Chahed had arrived in Cairo on Saturday for a two-day official visit to co-chair with his Egyptian counterpart the 16th session of the Tunisian-Egyptian High Joint Commission.
