(TAP) – Prime Minister Youssef Chahed received on Monday at Kasbah Palace, Sudan’s Foreign Affairs Minister Ibrahim Ahmed Ghandour.

The Sudanese official said at the end of the meeting that he had transmitted an oral message from Sudan’s First Vice-President and Premier General Bakri Hassan Saleh to Chahed.

The meeting turned on outcomes of Chahed’s visit in March in Khartoum and the organisation of the Tunisian-Sudanese High Joint Commission during which 22 agreements were inked in different fields notably transport, tourism, agriculture, health, culture and technical co-operation, a Prime Ministry press release reads.

Sudan’s FM evoked the implemented decisions including the creation of a ministerial commission in charge of the enforcement of agreements aiming to reinforce economic, political and cultural relations. The decisions also include bilateral co-ordination and exchange of points of views between Tunisia and Sudan on the regional and international situation and issues on the Arab scene especially the Libyan crisis.

Emphasis was laid on the alignment of Tunisia’s and Sudan’s views on supporting UN efforts aiming to preserve the unity and security of Libya and its people, the press release added.

Ibrahim Ahmed Ghandour is leading a delegation in the first meeting of the Tunisian-Sudanese Political Consultation Commission, December 3-4 in Tunis.
