Opening prospects for Tunisian exports in Turkish markets says Chahed as he meets with Erdogan

(TAP) – The relations of cooperation and friendship between Tunisia and Turkey and means of strengthening them were the focus of the talks on Wednesday at the Carthage Palace, between Prime Minister Youssef Chahed and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in the presence of the two countries’ delegations of senior officials, a Prime Ministery statement reads.

The Prime Minister stressed on this occasion "the need to work to rebalance trade between the two countries and to open prospects for Tunisian exports in Turkish markets," the statement said.

Youssef Chahed also reaffirmed "the need to boost Turkish investments in Tunisia and to offer them favorable conditions on the basis of mutual benefit".

The Turkish head of state ends Wednesday a two-day visit to Tunisia at the invitation of President Beji Caid Essebsi.
