PM meets IsDB President

(TAP) - The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group is currently examining mechanisms allowing Tunisian students and investors to benefit from its newly created USD 500-million fund to strengthen science, technology and innovation, its President Bandar Hajjar said.

Speaking after a meeting with Prime Minister Youssef Chahed Friday in Dar Dhiafa Carthage, Hajjar emphasised the importance of the law on public/private partnership (PPP) and the Group’s commitment to work within its framework to increase its investments in Tunisia.

Hajjar also reviewed IsDB's various development programmes and projects in Tunisia, including the financing of six power stations with investments of $ 765 million. Work in 4 stations has been completed, while the other two plants are in construction
