(TAP special correspondent Faten Barouni) – Prime Minister Youssef Chahed left on Tuesday morning Tunisia to Switzerland to participate in the 49th World Economic Forum – Davos 2019, January 22-25.

Chahed is notably accompanied by Development, Investment and International Co-operation Minister Zied Laadhari.

During his visit, Chahed will have several meetings with world leaders, key economic decision-makers and representatives of international funders.

Some 3,000 personalities, including 50 politicians and 1,200 businessmen as well as representatives of major financial institutions, regional and international organisations, multinationals and experts are taking part in this edition, held this year under the theme: “Globalisation 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”

The discussions will focus on climate change, impacts of the industrial revolution and the development of the artificial intelligence.

Through this participation, Tunisia seeks to develop diplomatic and economic relations with the countries across the world, attract the investments necessary to the national economic relaunch and learn about the orientations of major multinationals.

Chahed and Laadhari will meet with the Presidents of the African Development Bank and of the Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA) in addition to Algeria’s Foreign Minister
