Chahed meets King Abdullah II of Jordan

(TAP) – Prime Minister Youssef Chahed had on Sunday in Tunis a meeting with King Abdullah II Ben Hussein of Jordan who is paying an official visit to Tunisia with his wife Queen Rania Al Abdullah.

The four-hour visit at the invitation of President Beji Caid Essebsi coincides with the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tunisia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The King also had a meeting earlier with President Beji Caid Essebsi.

The meeting discussed preparations for the 30th ordinary session of the Arab Summit, scheduled for the end of March 2019 in Tunis, a Presidency of the Republic press release had indicated.

During an extended working session between the two countries' delegations, the two leaders exchanged views on a set of issues that will be raised at the Arab Summit, including notably the Palestinian cause
