Chahed inaugurates Ettayarane neighbourhood sports hall, closed for 7 years

(TAP) – Prime Minister Youssef Chahed inaugurated Sunday morning, the sports hall at the Ettayarane neighbourhood in the Ezzouhour delegation, which had been closed for seven years, and chaired on the occasion the inking of seven agreements to support the Olympic Transport Club (French: TOC).

Chahed also kicked off a handball game opposing the women’s teams of CO Transports and AS Gorjani, attending part of the game.

In a statement to TAP, the PM said he was very pleased with the reopening of this hall after seven years of closure, specifying that this sports infrastructure is a very important asset for the area’s youths who can practice sports in the best conditions.

"It is a first assistance provided to the Ettayarane neighbourhood and there will be others,” he affirmed,” pointing out that the government lends a great interest to youths in popular neighbourhoods so that they can have fun and develop their energy in sports and culture and move away from delinquency.

Youssef Chahed also stressed the importance to support these clubs financially. "These are prestigious clubs, but with small means and the assistance provided to them will help guide youths in popular neighbourhoods for the sake of Tunisia."
