Cabinet meeting enquires about National Employment Strategy progress

(TAP) - The Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, took note of the progress of the drafting of the National Employment Strategy designed according to a tripartite participatory approach between the government, the Tunisian General Union of Labour (UGTT) and the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and and Handicrafts (UTICA), a Prime Ministry statement reads .

Chahed praised the efforts of the various parties: ministries, organisations, experts and the International Labour Office (ILO) that contributed to the development of this document, highlighting “the participatory approach and the positive spirit adopted by the different participants.”

The cabinet meeting also approved a number of draft laws and draft decrees, namely a draft organic law concerning the agreement between the Tunisian government and the International Organisation of la Francophonie providing for the creation of a regional office of the organisation for North Africa in Tunis, as well as a draft decree setting the administrative and financial organisation and the management of the Amicale of the Ministry of Justice officers and related public institutions, except judges and law enforcement bodies
