Sidi Bouzid to house headquarters of Higher Council of Local Authorities

(TAP) -The seat of the Higher Council of Local Authorities, an essential instrument of decentralization, provided for by the Code on Local Authorities will be in Sidi Bouzid, it was decided at a small Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday in Kasbah Palace and dedicated to this city.

95 measures, including economic ones, were taken at the Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Youssef Chahed.

The meeting also decided to mobilise an additional financing estimated at 100 thousand dinars to help 7 new municipalities in Sidi Bouzid to prepare territorial development plans.

It also decided to earmark a budget of around 250 thousand dinars to co-finance the development of a family park in the municipality of Sidi Bouzid and another investment estimated at 520 thousand dinars to the municipality of Menzel Bouzayene.

The small cabinet meeting also decided to allocate a budget of 300,000 dinars to the municipalities of Bir Lahfai, Mzouna, Maknessi, Ouled Haffouz and Sebbala for land use, planning and the creation of municipal districts.

An estimated 150,000 dinars will also be earmarked for the creation of green spaces in the municipalities of Jelma, Sidi Ali Ben Aoun and Regueb.

The cabinet meeting also decided to mobilise an estimated 7 million dinars for the project "The Earth and Arts Square", a recreational area and also cultural activities for families and for the construction and equipment of a congress hall
