(TAP) – A national conference on "Women in Political Decision-making Positions" was held Thursday in Tunis, with attendance of Premier Youssef Chahed and a large number of women active in the economic, social, political and cultural fields.

The event, organised by the Ministry of Women, Family, Children and Elderly Affairs, is part of the celebration of National Women’s day (August 13).

Premier Youssef Chahed decorated a number of women active in various sectors including media, culture and sports.

The 2019 Prize for the Best Female Scientific Research was also awarded to Ines Fendri and Rayda Ben Ayed.
