Premier meets with AMT delegation

(TAP)-Prime Minister Youssef Chahed met, Friday in Kasbah, a delegation of the Association of Tunisian Magistrates (French: AMT) led by its President Anas Hmaidi.

The meeting focused on the government’s efforts to create a fund meant to improve the quality of the judiciary and register it as part of the draft State budget 2020. “This is a major achievement for the judiciary,” Hmaidi said in a statement to media.

According to him, the meeting allowed to review efforts made by judges of the Court of Auditors and the Administrative Court to carry out the electoral process.

In a statement issued by the Prime Ministry, Chahed stressed the government’s support and its readiness to defend it in the House of People’s Representatives (HPR).
