Chalgoum, R. Trabelsi, Rajhi, Ayara, appointed Acting Ministers of Development, Transport, Employment and State Properties

(TAP) – Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, on Friday appointed Finance Minister Mohamed Ridha Chalgoum to conduct the day-to-day affairs of the Ministry of Development, Investment and International Cooperation, along with Tourism Minister René Trabelsi, appointed Minister of Transport, Minister to the Prime Minister Taoufik Rajhi, Head of the Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment and Minister to the Prime Minister Radhouan Ayara, Head of the Ministry of State Properties and Land Affairs.

In a statement issued Friday evening by the Prime Ministry, this mandate is in line with the concern to ensure the normal functioning of the ministries concerned by the vacancy, in accordance with the announcement made on Friday by the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) of the final results of the 2019 parliamentary elections, in accordance with the provisions of Article 90 of the Constitution, which prohibits the accumulation of ministerial and deputy posts, and the provisions of Article 38 of the Basic Law on elections.

The final results of the legislative elections announced on Friday by ISIE have given seats in parliament to Ziad Ladhari (Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation), Saida Lounissi (Minister of Vocational Training and Employment), Hicham Ben Ahmed (Minister of Transport) and Hedi Mekni (Minister of State Properties and Land Affairs).
