Youssef Chahed pledges to sign implementing decrees relating to INLUCC before next December 15

(TAP)- Caretaker Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, pledged, during a meeting with president of the National Anti-Corruption Authority (INLUCC) Chawki Tabib, on Friday at the Government Palace in Kasbah, to sign the implementing decrees relating to the action of the authority before next December 15.

In a statement at the end of the meeting, Tabib explained that these implementing decrees concern the publication of asset declarations for the categories concerned, the creation of the commission that will reward whistleblowers and the protection of whistleblowers of corrupt practices.

Tabib voiced satisfaction at the government support to INLUCC, particularly through the signing of the Charter of the National Strategy for Good Governance and the Fight against Corruption.

Support for the proceedings was also reflected in the logistical and financial support provided to the proceedings and the request to Parliament to speed up the examination of the relevant laws, he commended.

The INLUCC President also presented the INLUCC annual report for 2018 to the caretaker PM for the management of current affairs.

On December 9, 2016, the National Strategic Charter on Good Governance and Anti-Corruption was signed, on the fringes of the closing of the National Anti-Corruption Congress, which coincides with the International Anti-Corruption Day. It was signed by the Prime Minister, the Speaker of Parliament, INLUCC, the National Union of Tunisian Journalists (SNJT), a representative of the judiciary and a representative of civil society
