Tunisia's Industry, Trade and Crafts Union UTICA stressed the need for the Employers' Union to be represented in the 3 national commissions established, namely the higher commission of political reforms, the national fact-finding commission on corruption and the national commission of investigation on abuse in recent events.
In a statement published on Friday, the Employers' Union says this request comes at a time when all the parties and civil society groups are urged to join efforts to get out of the critical political and economic situation the country is living through.
UTICA reckons that the non-representativeness of the private sector in these commissions means the exclusion of a large part of Tunisians, which is against the democratic aspirations of the people.
