18th ordinary session of African Union Executive Council

January. 31, 2011 - TAP - A Tunisian delegation led by Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Radhouane Nouisser took part in the African Union (AU) Executive Council's 18th ordinary session, held in Addis-Abeba, Ethiopia, on January 27-28.
The Tunisian official had talks with Libyan, Mauritanian and Malian Foreign Ministers, as well as with the Algerian Secretary of State in charge of African Affairs.
He also had talks with the Foreign Ministers of Australia and Portugal, guests of the session.
During these talks, the Tunisian official said that the Tunisian "People's Revolution, without political leader and ideological direction," is the expression of the people's will.
He also asserted that resumption of the economic activity in the country indicating that the State's structures resumed normal functioning, voicing confidence in the support of the sisterly and friendly countries to the Tunisian People's Revolution.
According to a source in the Foreign Ministry, his interlocutors extended their countries' support to the Tunisian people.
