Recommendations of UN Human Rights Team in Tunisia

February 1, 2011 - TAP - The UN Human Rights Team on a mission in Tunisia issued on Tuesday a series of recommendations considered as "urgent" by Head of the mission Bacre Ndiaye.
Here are the recommendations:
  • Redefining the relationship between the State and the people on the basis of supremacy of the law and respect of rights.
  • Reforming the security system.
  • Endeavouring to fight against impunity.
  • Remedying inequalities between regions.
  • Considering Human Rights as focus of process of reconstruction in Tunisia.
