Enhancing ways to rescue Tunisian and Foreign Nationals coming from Libya

February 24, 2011 - TAP - Measures designed to step up means of health intervention at the border cross point of Ras Jedir since the outbreak of the events in Libya, have been taken by the Public Health Ministry.
The latter has deployed two additional mobile emergency and intensive care services and a psychological assistance cell.
It has also equipped hospitals of Medenine and Tataouine with additional biomedics.
Moreover, the regional centres of blood transfusion of Gabes and Sfax are working hard to meet possible needs in blood and this in close co-ordination with the National Blood Transfusion Centre.
A unit of epidemiological surveillance and environment hygiene has also been set up.
Moreover, a medical team has been mobilised by the Public Health Ministry to accompany "El Habib" ship, which will repatriate Tunisian nationals wishing to return home.
