France, Tunisia agree to continue realization of infrastructure projects

March 7, 2011  - TAP - Tunisia and France agreed, on Monday, on the need to carry on the achievement of projects underway in the areas of infrastructure and housing and develop housing projects dedicated to most needy regions.
This was during a talk held between Transport and Equipment Minister at the Interim Government Yassine Ibrahim and French visiting Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development, Transportation and Housing Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet.
The French Minister expressed readiness to provide technical assistance in developing studies in such a manner as to speed up the achievement of the midland motorway linking Enfidha to Kairouan, Sidi Bouzid, Kasserine and Gafsa over 350 km.
She said that the priorities of this stage should be defined rapidly for Tunisia.
The two officials also emphasized the need to tackle problems at the level of the Rades port to give it needed efficiency as an important transit point of goods in Tunisia.
They also agreed to activate the bilateral co-operation program in the areas of training and re-training, particularly in the logistics sector, in such a manner as to increase job opportunities for persons receiving training and prompt their integration in enterprises.
