Tunisia-UNIDO: Disseminating culture of initiative in education institutions

March. 9, 2011 – TAP  - Mrs Monica Carco, Delegate of the UN Industrial Development Organization Office in Tunisia, had talks here on Tuesday with Education Minister Taieb Baccouche and highlighted will to boost cooperation with Tunisia's education institutions to reinforce private initiative and disseminate the culture of business creation.
She said that UNIDO in Tunisia was endeavouring to provide technical assistance to junior promoters, especially higher education graduates to secure the success of their ventures.
The meeting also allowed to look at possibilities of partnership between the office and the Education Ministry, notably in matters of guiding young skills towards innovative projects in the sectors of industry, trade and services.
The Minister suggested in turn that this partnership be started with an awareness campaign in education institutions to promote the UNIDO office program and its objectives, stressing care to disseminate the culture of entrepreneurship in schools and especially in secondary schools.
Both sides agreed to prepare a program of entrepreneurial culture and apply it in secondary schools selected throughout the country and UNIDO will mobilize experts to train trainers and students in this regard.
