March. 10, 2011 - TAP - A source from the Justice Ministry said the former Interior Minister has been under arrest on an order from the senior investigating judge, since February 2011, and had undergone an interrogation on the same day, before issuing a Committal order thereon, contrary to rumours stating that the Committal order was issued on March 3, 2011.
The same source reminds that the senior investigating judge visited, on March 9, 2011, the private office of the ousted President, at Carthage palace, and more specifically, the "Ibn Khaldun" hall, and not the Sidi Dhrif palace.
He seized different firearms and 8 brown colour tablets, likely a narcotic product, weighing 1,980 g, in addition to several would-be gold medals.
Experts, adds the source, were mandated by the senior investigating judge to draw an official report on seized products and the public prosecution was informed in order to conduct a relevant independent investigation.
