Interim Prime Minister receives French Secretary of State in charge of Foreign Trade

March 18, 2011  -TAP - Caretaker Prime Minister Béji Caïd Essebsi received, on Friday March 18, 2011 , French Secretary of State to the Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry in charge of Foreign Trade Pierre Lellouche.
The latter said, in a statement to TAP news agency at the end of the meeting, that he was bearer of a message from the French Government and French enterprises operating in Tunisia that reasserts France's support to Tunisia.
He added that the aim of his visit to Tunisia is to reassure French enterprises and help them overcome the difficulties they had faced in the past period, outpointing that "news is good" and that these firms "are in high spirits".
The French Secretary of state Specified that the meeting with the Prime Minister had helped look at several other issues, notably the democratic transition process in the country.
He said, in this regard, that what had happened in Tunisia has a great importance and regional dimensions, asserting that "France believes in the success of democracy in Tunisia".
Besides, he said that the situation in Libya and France's action in this regard had also been discussed during the meeting.
