March 18, 2011   -TAP - Tunisia is following with deep concern the seriously deteriorating situation in Yemen and deplores the huge human losses suffered by the Yemeni people, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a communiqué released on Friday evening.
"Tunisia voices deep sadness and categorical rejection of the acts of violence against unarmed civilians in the city of Sanaa, which killed dozens and injured many others," the communiqué adds.
"Tunisia urges the Yemeni authorities, the various political and people's formations and civil society components in Yemen to immediately act to stop this serious haemorrhage that imperils security and stability of Yemen. It calls for paving the way to a peaceful settlement that respects Yemeni people's will, puts a halt to bloodshed and preserves its unity, national gains and cohesion," concludes the Foreign Ministry's communiqué.
