March. 20, 2011 - TAP - Interim President Foued Mebazaa delivered, on Sunday, an address to the Tunisian people on the celebration of the 55th Anniversary of Independence.
The celebration, this year, of Independence Day has a particular character insofar as it comes after the January 14 Revolution, underlined Mr. Mebazaa, during a ceremony organized at Carthage Palace.
This revolt, he further specified, is closely linked to the values of independence and is part of the extension of the Tunisian people's fight for independence. It is "a testimony of faithfulness to the martyrs of the National Liberation Movement" who sacrificed themselves for Tunisia's glory and for the right of the Tunisian people for a decent life, also added Mr. Mebazaa.
