Belgium ready to share its experience in local governance with Tunisia

March 23, 2011 - TAP - Minister-President of Wallonia and the French Community Minister in Belgium Rudy Demotte expressed, on Wednesday in Tunis, his country's readiness to share its experience in training and local governance with Tunisia.
"We would like to share our experience in monitoring local governance with Tunisia", he highlighted at his meeting, on Wednesday March 23, 2011 , with Foreign Minister Mouldi Kefi.
The Minister-President, who is on a visit to Tunisia to discuss partnership projects with Tunisian officials, said that it is important to "show our interest in inland regions of the country".
He pointed, in this context, to the visit paid by the Belgian delegation accompanying him to the archaeological site of Dougga, Béja, "to draw the attention of Belgian tourists to inland regions of the country."
Belgium, which is the fourth partner of Tunisia in terms of economic exchanges, is planning to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of youth training.
"We will review with the Tunisian authorities the possibilities to draw the attention of Belgian entrepreneurs and those of the North of France to the industrial Zone of Téboursouk so as to develop activities of excellence, particularly, in the field of food-processing" he added.
The two-day visit of the Minister-President will be followed on Sunday by the Belgian Foreign Minister's visit.
