European Commissioners expected in Tunis March 30-31

March 29, 2011  -TAP - EU Commissioner for Home Affairs Cecilia Malmström and European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Füle are expected to pay a working visit to Tunisia on March 30-31, according to European diplomatic sources in Tunis.
Escorted by a large European Union (EU) delegation, the two Commissioners will meet Prime Minister Béji Caïd Essebsi and members of the Interim Government. They will also meet with leaders of political parties and associations as well as with civil society activists.
Cecilia Malmstrom will visit as well the different refugees camps at the Tunisian-Libyan border and hold talks with members of humanitarian associations.
Numerous European officials visited Tunisia over the last two months, the latest visit being that of European Parliament President Jerzey Buzek after that of Head of European Diplomacy Catherine Ashton.
