Tunisia-Saudi Arabia: Businessmen mobilised to revive national economy

April 12, 2011  TAP - Tunisian businessmen, academics, researchers and senior civil servants within regional and international organisations living in Saudi Arabia rallied as part of a forum to support economic revival in Tunisia after the Revolution.
This forum meets once a week in Jeddah, tourism manager and forum member Hamadi Nessib told TAP News Agency, to suggest ideas of economic ventures meant for job creation, notably in Tunisian underprivileged areas, encourage Saudi businessmen to invest and carry out infrastructure projects in the country, attract private funds for financing and propose new credit formulas.
This Tunisian group also intends to contribute to the promotion of the Tunisia destination in Saudi Arabia and work out strategies in the fields of industry, regional development and reform in matters of education, higher education and vocational training.
The forum members are examining as well ideas of projects in the fields of micro-finance and ecological tourism, namely in inland regions.
