CEPA president : We are ready to help Tunisia build up democratic institutions

April 21, 2011 - TAP - Interim Prime Minister Béji Caid Essebsi received Thursday a delegation of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (CEPA) led by its President Mevlut Cavusoglu.
The latter said the meeting had allowed to discuss means to help Tunisia in this transitional stage build up democratic institutions, especially as the Council of Europe has expertise in this field.
He went on saying that the report elaborated by CEPA in January 2011 to assess the situation in Tunisia during the Revolution will be subject to follow-up and debate next June.
The meeting made it possible as well to discuss political issues, the process of transition to democracy and the economic situation in Tunisia.
