Caretaker President receives BCT Governor

April 26, 2011 - TAP - Interim President Foued Mebazaa received, on Tuesday at Carthage Palace, Tunisia's Central Bank Governor (BCT) Mustapha Kamel Nabli who reported to him on BCT's 2010 financial records, as approved of by BCT Board of Directors, as well as on the Auditors' report.
The meeting provided the opportunity to review Tunisia's present state of economic and financial affairs, both at the domestic and external levels, and discuss the difficulties and pressures faced up by economic enterprises in the country, in addition to the decisions and measures taken by the Interim Government and BCT to overcome the current economic situation.
BCT Governor also presented a report on Tunisia's participation in the Spring Meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, held in Washington, as well as on the contacts made with the various international financial officials who asserted the interest they take in Tunisia and its experience in matters of democratic transition and voiced will to provide the needed assistance and funding to ensure success to Tunisia's transition process.
