Hungarian FM: people of Tunisia made history and are now building their future

April. 27, 2011 - TAP - "I am here to present to Tunisia the Hungarian model of democratic transition and political and economic change", said Hungarian Foreign Minister Jànos Martonyi.
"Hungary, which 20 years ago, had established a democratic system, would like to convey to Tunisia its experience in democratic transition and inspire it to ensure success to its process", he pointed out at the end of his meeting, on Wednesday in Kasbah, with Caretaker Prime Minister Béji Caïd Essebsi.
"History is not made without the will of people and the Tunisian people have made history and are now building their future", he said.
He expressed consideration to Tunisia for the Revolution of the Tunisian people and conveyed to it a message of friendship from Hungary which, he said "is committed to deepen and strengthen its relations with Tunisia in the political, economic, cultural and commercial fields". "I am also carrying a message of friendship from the European Union (EU) whose rotating Presidency of the Council is chaired by Hungary", he added.
The Hungarian FM is expected to take part today in the 14th session of the International Forum of "Réalités" Magazine, which will be held from April 27 to April 29, in Hammamet, under the theme of: "Tunisian Revolution, Challenges of Democratic Transition and Role of Civil Society". The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Hungary in Tunis.
