Interim Prime Minister receives Czech Foreign Affairs Minister

May 7, 2011 - TAP - Interim Prime Minister Béji Caïd Essebsi received, on Saturday in Tunis, visiting Czech Foreign Affairs Minister Karel Schwarzenberg.
After the meeting, the Czech diplomat said his visit to Tunisia came in the wake of the "progress made by the country in the field of human rights".
"It is very interesting for us to see how the situation will improve in Tunisia after this peaceful Revolution", he underscored.
Mr. Schwarzenberg said that his visit to Tunisia offers him the opportunity "to get cognizance of the Tunisian experience, ahead of EU Foreign Affairs Ministers' meeting" to be held soon.
He expressed his country's willingness to strengthen bilateral relations "all the more so that conditions have changed in Tunisia".
"Our bilateral relations have always been very friendly, but I think that the door is today open for new prospects and for developing all aspects of a more active partnership and closer ties", he concluded.
