Japan supports democratic transition in Tunisia

2011 – TAP  - Ambassador and special envoy of the Japanese Government for the Middle East, Mr. Yutaka Iimura underlined that his country supports the people Revolution and the democratic transition in Tunisia.
Received, on Friday, by Social Affairs Minister Mohamed Naceur, Mr. Yutaka Iimura, who is paying on May 5-7 an official visit in Tunisia, said that democratic process launched in the country will help end up with a structural and strategic reform in all sectors.
On this occasion, the Japanese official voiced his country's consideration for Tunisia for its solidarity with the Japanese people following the earthquake and the Tsunami which hit Japan.
In turn, Mr. Mohamed Naceur reviewed the key measures decided to find urgent solutions to the social issues in Tunisia, reasserting that the Tunisian Revolution is a Revolution for dignity and for citizenship.
Besides, the meeting provided the occasion to review the co-operation relations binding the two countries and means to further strengthen them.
