Election of members of Independent High Authority for Elections

May 9, 2011 – TAP  - Ballot counting of the election of members to the Independent High Authority for Elections continued on Monday evening.
Members of the High Authority for the Achievement of the Revolution Objectives, Political Reform and Democratic Transition started the vote counting on Monday afternoon, a journalist from TAP news agency witnessed.
The Independent High Authority for the Elections is made up of 16 members, three of whom represent the Tunisian National Judges' Association.
Given the fact that the latter structure has not yet fielded candidates, the High Authority for the Achievement of the Revolution Objectives is to resort to Article 8 of the decree-law on the Independent High Authority for the Elections to appoint representatives for the judges
