Government is ready to assist Independent Authority for Elections

May 20, 2011 - TAP - Facilities provided by the Interim Government to help the Independent Elections Authority discharge its mission were the focus of the meeting held, on Friday, between Caretaker Prime Minister Béji Caïd Essebsi and a delegation from the Authority, led by Mr. Kamel Jendoubi.
The latter explained, in a statement to TAP news agency at the end of the meeting, that he had presented to the Prime Minister a set of specific and urgent requests which the Authority needs to fulfil its mission, which consists in overseeing the various stages of the electoral process.
He voiced satisfaction at the Government's will to make available all material, technical and financial means to contribute to the success of the Authority's action, and consequently the success of the National Constituent Assembly's elections.
