UTAP restructuring looked at

June 01, 2011 - TAP - The restructuring of Tunisia's Agriculture and Fisheries Union (UTAP) and the preparation of the harvest for large-scale farming were the focus of the meeting Interim Prime Minister Béji Caid Essebsi had on Wednesday with a delegation including members of UTAP Executive Committee and some heads of regional unions and general secretaries of local federations.
Mr. Mongi Chouchène, Member of UTAP Executive Committee and Spokesman for the union, told TAP news agency that the delegation had briefed the Prime Minister about the preparations for UTAP special congress scheduled for next months to renew its structures at local, regional and national levels in accordance with the requirements of the present stage.
The meeting turned as well on several issues relating notably to the preparation of the harvest for large-scale farming and on farmers' guidance, debts, insurance, scourges and problems in the field of fishing.
