Prime Minister confers with Chairman and Managing Director of France Télécom

July 02, 2011 - TAP - France Télecom Orange group is committed to carry on and reinforce its activities and investments in Tunisia, said its Chairman and Managing Director Stéphane Richard.
"I have expressed to the Prime Minister the hope of France Telecom to increase its investments carried out as part of Orange Tunisie or other ventures," he declared at the end of his talks on Saturday with Interim Prime Minister Béji Caïd Essebsi.
He also announced that France Télécom corporation will launch this year a venture expected to provide 150 jobs, mainly in the sector of computer maintenance.
The meeting with the Prime Minister allowed as well to discuss the current process regarding the seizure of the 51% stake of Marwan Mabrouk, the son in law of ousted President Ben Ali, in mobile phone operator Orange Tunisie (51%), Richard added.
