Interim Prime Minister's meeting with PTT party spokesman

July 29, 2011 - TAP - The review of the general situation in the country and means to deal with sensitive issues were the focus of the meeting Friday between Interim Prime Minister Béji Caid Essebsi and official spokesman for the Tunisian Labour Party PTT Abdeljelil Bedoui.
In a statement to TAP news agency, the latter said he had discussed with the Prime Minister "the rising prices of consumer goods, the inflation and the speculation recorded as regards several basic consumables as well as the need to fight against it".
"I attracted the Prime Minister's attention to the urgent need to speed up the trial of the symbols of corruption and dictatorship who are regaining strength and reappearing with great self-confidence especially in inland areas," he declared.
He added that the meeting had also allowed to discuss "several blunders of public services, notably in matters of appointments" as well as the mission of the constituent assembly, stressing that in this respect that mention was made of the possibility of deciding a well determined period for this assembly mission in order "to avoid the emergence of new forms of dictatorship."
The meeting was attended by Minister in the PM's office Ridha Belhaj.
