Caretaker Prime Minister receives Director of IMF's North Africa, Middle East and Central Asia Department

August 04, 2011  -TAP - Interim Prime Minister Béji Caïd Essebsi received, on Thursday in Tunis, Mr. Masood Ahmed, Director of the North Africa, Middle East and Central Asia Department in the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Mr. Masood Ahmed said that the talk had allowed to review the different files of bilateral co-operation, and to determine the recommendations that could be suggested by the IMF in light of the Tunisian economy's development prospects, at this stage of "historic transition".
"For Tunisia, the economic prospects are still positive on the mid-term,"the international official said, adding that "on the short term, the country is called upon to take up several challenges".
