September 30, 2011 -TAP - Chairman of the Independent High Authority for the Elections (IHAE) Kamel Jendoubi commended the significant support lent by the Interim Government to the Authority, at a time when Tunisia is preparing for the start of an important stage of the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) election, namely the electoral campaign.
After the talk he had, on Friday in Tunis, with Interim Premier Beji Caid Essebsi, Mr. Jendoubi said that the meeting had provided the opportunity to fix the conditions to be combined to ensure good progress of voting, notably such details like the equipment of the voting stations and mobilising the needed means of transport for the benefit of the underprivileged areas' inhabitants, to help the largest number of Tunisians exercise their electoral right in optimum circumstances.
After reminding of the arrival of several foreign missions, observers and journalists in Tunisia, the IHAE chairman reasserted attachment to "organise secure, transparent and democratic elections, so as to honour the image of the Tunisian people".
Besides, Mr. Jendoubi seized the opportunity to commend the exceptional efforts exerted by the Tunisian television competences who, he said, "managed to record the electoral spots of some 1,600 lists, in a record time and with a high level of professionalism".
