June 08, 2012 - TAP - The Prime Ministry denied the information on Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali's plan to visit Ramallah early next July, on the occasion of the Tunisian-Palestinian Joint Commission's meeting.

This rebuttal comes in response, according to a Prime Ministry communiqué, "to an information published by an Arab daily reporting on Mr. Jebali's plan to visit Ramallah, a news story which was retaken by some media.

The communiqué specifies that "the meeting that gathered Tunisia's Prime Minister and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, on the sidelines of the Davos Forum in Istanbul, was an occasion to review the Tunisian-Palestinian relations and prospects for bolstering them."

The meeting was also an opportunity for Mr. Jebali to voice wish to visit Palestine "after its emancipation from the Israeli colonial rule," a wish "shared by all Arab and Moslem leaders and peoples," the communiqué adds.
