The chief of government Mr. Hamadi Jebali met with the head of the Maltese Parliament

18th of October 2012 - The chief of government Mr. Hamadi Jebali met today afternoon at the Government Palace in El Kasbah with Mr. Michael Frendo; the head of the Maltese Parliament, in the presence of Mr. Abd Errazék El Killéni; the minister in charge of the relationship with the National Constituent Assembly.
Mr. Michael Frendo declared that the meeting was an occasion to emphasize ancient relations of cooperation between the two countries and their friendly people and to talk about the constitutional experience in Malta. In this context, the head of the Maltese Parliament affirmed that the Maltese parliamentary expertises are at the disposal of Tunisia, especially the members of the National Constituent Assembly.
This fact will contribute to more openness to foreign parliamentary experiences and enable Tunisia to establish a democratic model characterized by progress and openness. In addition, Mr. Michael Frendo said that he informed the chief of government Mr. Hamadi Jebali on the experience of national reconciliation and the democratic process in his country.
At the same time, the head of the Maltese Parliament submited an initiative consisting of an invitation from the Maltese Parliament to a number of members of the National Constituent Assembly to attend the proceedings of the Maltese elections slated soon in a way that allows them to have a close look to the atmosphere surrounding that requirements and to be familiar with its content to implement the upcoming elections in Tunisia.
