Tunisia Hosts for the First Time Conference of the International Federation for Human Rights from 07 to 11 March 2013

15th of October 2012 - The chief of government Mr. Hamadi Jebali conferred yesterday afternoon at Dhiafa Palaca in Carthage with Mrs. Souhayr Belhassen; the President of the International Federation for Human Rights. The meeting was in the presence of Mr. Samir  Dillou; the Minister of Human Rights and Transitional Justice, Mr. Patrick Baudouin and Mr. Sidyn Kaba; Honorary  Presidents of  International  Federation  for Human Rights, Mr. Abdessatar Ben Moussa; President of the  Tunisian League for  Human Rights, Mr. Ahlem Belhaj ,; the president of the Tunisian Association of Democratic Women.
In a press statement, Mrs. Souhayr Belhassen highlighted that her meeting with the chief of government comes under the framework of preparations of the 38th conference of the federation which will take place in Tunisia for the first time from 07 to 11 March 2013.
The head of the international federation also stressed the strong symbolism of maintaining the conference for the first time in Tunisia after the revolution. Mrs. Souhayr Belhassen considered that Tunisia will be a capital of human rights. For his part, Mr. Patrick Baudouin declared that the conference will discuss security matters in Tunisia as well as the issue of training of policemen in the field of human rights and stressing the respect of the different freedoms especially the religious rights.
