Social situation in country discussed as Essid meets with LTHD President

15 February 2016 - TAP - Prime Minister Habib Essid received, on Monday in the government Palace in Kasbah, President of the Tunisian Human Rights League (LTHD) Abdessattar Ben Moussa.

The meeting focused on the social situation in the country, a statement of the Prime Ministry reads.

Ben Moussa said that the talk which he described as “cordial and frank” was an opportunity to discuss the social situation in the country as well as the situation of human rights, freedoms and respect for the rule of law,” the same source said.

Ben Moussa also said the meeting reviews the preparations for the next LTDH congress, particularly, the material and logistic aspects of this event.

The seventh congress of LTHD, initially due for December 2015, was postponed following the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize, last autumn, to the National Dialogue Quartet, of which LTDH is member.
