04 March 2016 - TAP - “Our major concern is to create a favorable climate to attract domestic and foreign investment” said, on Friday afternoon in Luxembourg, Prime Minister Habib Essid after a talk with Prime Minister, State Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel.

During a meeting with the press, Mr. Essid said that exchanges turned on the relations of bilateral co-operation and the possibility to boost co-operation with more than fifty Luxembourg companies active inTunisia, generating 8,000 jobs.

This visit is a revival and an opportunity for Luxembourg to help us maintain our gains and move forward,” he said.

The Prime Minister also said that his country relies on Luxembourg to support it in the financial field, commending the support expressed to Tunisia by the Duchy of Luxembourg after the terrorist attacks that hitthe country.

For Xavier Bettel, co-operation between Tunisia and his country is tangible in the financial field citing in particular the Sukuk project.

He also noted that the talks turned on the migration crisis, the current geopolitical context and other issues of mutual interests.
