Cabinet meeting focuses on peak energy consumption

19 May 2016 - TAP - An inner cabinet meeting held, on Thursday in Kasbah, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Habib Essid, considered the government plan to address peak drinking water consumption in summer.

The Prime Minister ordered to speed up the connection of 27 blocked projects to the electrical network before the month of Ramadan to help10,475 families benefit from drinking water in the coming days, said a statement from the Prime Ministry.

He also called to complete 45 projects for 12,346 families. These projects will be completed before the end of May 2016.

The rate of connection to the drinking water network has reached 100% in the urban sphere and 92.9% in the rural area, the same source added.

The meeting also looked at the report presented by the commission in charge of examining the damage caused by the strong winds that hit some central and southern regions, particularly a number of delegations in the governorate of Sidi Bouzid.

The Prime Minister called to speed up recycling farmers’ debt and help them benefit of incentives as part of the investment code.
